Dedicated to solving climate change and driven to benefit the triple bottom line of people, planet and profit, I believe businesses can be a force for good! As a Young Southeast Asia Leaders Initiative (U.S. Embassy) fellow, I am part of a growing network of entrepreneurial youths from 11 Southeast Asia countries to alleviate poverty, economic growth and sustainable development in our developing region.
My founder journey began in 2018 with Tingkats, which symbolises resourcefulness, to bring to fore the urgency of climate action. Drawing from my data-centric and behavioural economics background, I identify new opportunities and partner businesses to create strategies for sustainable development.
I am currently saving 100 million fruits from being lost in farms and homes. This is a significant issue both economically and environmentally, as up to 60% of all fruits are lost or wasted post-harvest globally contributing to carbon emission, financial losses for farmers and exacerbating food insecurity for communities.
In my free time, I help out at Stridy, a non-profit organisation headquartered in Singapore, advocating for less packaging and more recycling. Stridy’s community organises cleanups and tracks data of what’s being littered on the Stridy app. We are crowdsourcing data to highlight the problem of poor waste management and to inspire policy and operational changes.
